Data loss may be due to several factors, the least of which is not operator error. If you are missing a particular piece of data in your system chances are likely that a user inadvertently deleted the data. Security may help alleviate this issue in the future.
You cannot restore a single item. You can manually re-add the item to the database or restore the complete database.
Follow these steps to restore the complete database.
Step 1: Stop the Service
The service must be stopped.
Step 2: Copy the Service Configuration and Data Files to the Service Directory
Copy the service configuration and data files from the backup folder to the service folder on the host server.
Step 3: Restore Backup Files
If restoring a DBS-based service, run the DBS Restore Backup utility. See DBS Restore Backup Utility for information about how to use this utility.
Step 4: Restart the Service
The backup data should appear.
